the thread between us

The Thread Between Us is my senior thesis on quilting as a personal, cultural, and artistic practice. This multifaceted project weaves together a 25-block life-story quilt, a symbolic appliqué quilt, two printed books, and a set of duotone photographic posters. It explores quilting in both American and Australian contexts, anchored by my relationship with my mother, who taught me to quilt. Combining family interviews, tactile materials, and layered visuals, the work honors quilting as craft, culture, connection, and evolving art form.
